Jennifer A. Herman is a Behavioral Health Practitioner and the proprietor of Pine Laurel Wellness, based out of the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania. She specializes in nutritional therapy, mental health, and quality supplementation for children, adults, and perinatal populations. She is certified as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Functional Supplement Specialist, Birthing and Postpartum Doula, and Brainspotting Practitioner. She graduated from the Nutritional Therapy Association in Seattle, Washington, and the Academy of Professional Supplement Certification. She was trained in Brainspotting under Rev. Martha S. Jacobi, Ph.D., LCSW, Brainspotting for children under Salene Souza, Clinical Psychotherapist, and Brainspotting for perinatal populations under Jana Glass, LPC, MAC, PMH-C, BC-TMH. She is a certified Doula from Madriella Doula Network and is working towards her counseling certification in perinatal mental health from Postpartum Support International.
She uses Brainspotting, lifestyle, and nutritional therapies to help clients overcome unresolved issues that may lead to emotional eating, food addictions, disordered eating, chronic or unexplained pain, stress, anxiety, anger, depression, trauma processing, and more.
Due to her own experience with a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy, she is newly passionate about women's mental and physical health postpartum and has created programs for women who have experienced pregnancy trauma, fertility difficulties, miscarriage, and/or traumatic births. This is also for those who are seeking postpartum doula services with a trauma-informed, maternal mental health focus. She is also a support group facilitator with Postpartum Support International for groups focusing on early pregnancy loss, and is a regional (NEPA) and specialized support coordinator with PSI for perinatal loss and traumatic birth.
She has a keen interest in the gut-brain axis and Nutritional Psychiatry. She is a member of the International Society of Nutritional Psychiatry Research and believes in the Importance of 'being friends' with our microbiome.
She enjoys philosophy, research, natural wine, yoga, meditation, live music, hikes, camping (all things nature), laughter, and family. She believes in realistic lifestyles, approachable and attainable goals, food as medicine, and enjoying oneself alongside the journey to feeling great.
Last but not least, she thrives on helping others achieve their vision of wellness and health.
Emily Alexander is a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Functional Hormonal Specialist based out of southern Vermont. A born and raised New Englander, Emily specializes in nutritional therapy, eating disorders, and hormonal balance throughout all life stages. She is
certified as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner through the Nutritional Therapy Association and an IAFFH Certified Functional Hormone Specialist (IC-FHS). Emily graduated with her Master’s of Education in Health Education and Promotion with a specialization in Eating Disorders from Plymouth State University in 2021, and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in nutrition from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2017.
Emily uses nutritional therapy, balanced lifestyle changes, mindfulness, and real food to help clients have a healthier relationship with food and their bodies. Throughout her career, Emily has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, worksite wellness, and
facilitating community education presentations.
When she isn’t working with clients or spending time researching, Emily enjoys teaching kids hiphop classes, hiking, spending time with her dogs, and listening to live music.
